Another week of classes!

A couple more days of classes have past. Tyler is now working with the imperfect past tense and Nicole is getting close to finishing the present tense. The kids are also learning new verbs and conjugations. We are all having lots of fun and are considering moving up from 4 hours a day to 5 or 6 hours a day of instruction. We will see what we decide for next week!

Yesterday, there was a cultural activity to do Mayan bracelet making. Each of the kids partnered with a parent and made their own Mayan bracelets. It was lots of fun (even though there were far to many students for the number of instructors present). Pictures below:

Today's cultural activity was a cooking class. The girls decided to go to the class. They learned how to make Guatemalan tamale. Emma did not like it when it was done, but it was fun to learn how it was made. The guys went to town to search for a bookstore. They found a used bookstore and bought some new books. They also found an Art Museum that was exciting to walk through and see the art of the local artist. Its hard to believe that tomorrow we will be done with two weeks already! The time is going fast!
